About MoverScore

The mover check that comes before the quote.

Hiring a mover means trusting a stranger with everything you own. The information you need to check them is public, through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), but it can be hard to find and read. MoverScore makes it simple.

What we do

  • Mover profiles: one page per FMCSA-authorized household-goods mover, with legal name, DBA, USDOT/MC numbers, authority status, complaints by year and category, fleet size, address, and a link to the official record.
  • Check your mover: a quick green/amber/red summary of factual checks.
  • Moving cost calculator: a free rough estimate.
  • Quote requests: one form, up to 3 licensed movers, contact by text or email only.

How we stay fair

  • We show only factual public data, with dates and source links.
  • Movers can submit a written reply or correction, reviewed against the official record.
  • We never send a request to a mover without active FMCSA authority, and never to more than 3 movers.

How we make money

MoverScore is free for consumers. Movers pay us for quote requests they receive, and some movers pay for an optional “Verified” listing with extra profile features. Paid status never changes the public FMCSA facts we show on a profile.

What we are not

MoverScore is not a moving company and does not move, quote, book, or take payment for moves. We are not affiliated with FMCSA or the US Department of Transportation.

Contact

We’re a text-first company. Email cs@moverscore.com and we aim to reply within 4 business hours.
